Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader Spencer Henry and this week's story has all the makings of a lifetime made for TV movie. It's giving me very much death of a cheerleader vibes, a high school student who went to the beat of their own drum versus a popular star athlete.

But this is not the story of wild jealousy that we've heard so many times before. It's much more complicated and darker than that. We'll get into all of it in a minute, but first let's have a little check in how you doing.

How you been? I have convinced Olivia to stay in town a little bit longer. She came through though. You guys with a story about our very own family on the last little leader.

And I mean the basic story is we have a relative who in the 1930s was poisoned by an ex and then her mom sought revenge by having a hitman chop them up and possibly mailing the parts revenge.

I had pretty much zero knowledge to this case prior to Olivia coming on and telling the story like she full on Mary Kay and Ashley kid detective that shit calling up relatives who we've never spoken to before some we have just amazing if you want to hear the full story check out the last little leader.

Literally, the whole fucking town went to these things, like up to 15,000 people would be

at these games on any given night, just to give you an idea.

It's a very conservative community predominantly evangelical or Southern Baptist, just quintessential

Texas.

Our story today centers around 17 year old Betty Williams.

She was born on August 11, 1943 to her parents, John and Mary.

And according to my research, she had three younger siblings though.
