Hey, Mike, I need to tell you something. I quit my job.

So obviously, I knew this. This isn't a surprise to me. You know, I can act surprised if you would like, like, like that or something. But you did tell me about this in advance. It would have, for comedic value, it might have been kind of funny if you would like like that or something but you did tell me about this in advance um it would

have been so horrifically unprepared i think ultimately i would have just been annoyed at you

supposed to have before you so you would have been so bad you quit your job a couple of days ago and we're going to get into

the specifics of how that looked but i want to kind of talk about what led you to making this

decision because we have been talking about this for literally six months now

and it's not i'm not trying to make a like, but it's going to get into perspective.

Like, we have spent six months doing this because I remember me and Marco had a conversation

about you on January 1st. And then I think the subsequent episodes of analog and ATP

featured the pincer movement of us trying to get you to

convince you why you should quit. And we've gone through this whole thing, this whole

discussion over many, many, many months. And there's always been some kind of stumbling block almost to the point where I think

I had resigned myself to thinking that you were not going to do this because you know everything

seemed like it had fallen into place like that you had everything you needed from a like an like

a reasons perspective, right?

You kind of felt like you knew everything.

So I'm really intrigued to understand what has changed recently to make you do this.

Sure.

It was a combination of a few different things all at once.

So the first thing that happened was I decided I was not going to quit my job. It just was financially not prudent. It's the first part along the path of quitting your job is deciding you will not quit your job. That is correct. And I say that obviously slightly for comedic effect, but it's also true. I had decided unequivocally, I'm not going to quit. When was this? When did you make that decision, do you think? I would say roundabouts the time that I was going back to work. You know, so this was, what was that? March-ish, give or take a little bit. I decided, you know, we need the healthcare.

We need the salary.
