Let's have another real person chat. Today I'm joined by Brian Alexander in this the 134th episode

0:05.9

of Retirement Planning Education Podcast. Welcome to the Retirement Planning Education Podcast,

0:14.3

where you can learn all about IRAs and Roth IRAs, employer retirement plans, taxes,

0:20.2

Social Security, Medicare, portfolio withdrawal strategies, taxes, social security, Medicare, portfolio withdrawal

0:22.6

strategies, annuities, estate planning, and much more. And now here's your host, Andy Panko.

0:29.1

Hello again, podcast listening friend. I'm glad you're here. Today we have another real person

0:34.9

episode where today's real person is Brian Alexander from Oregon. It is not Oregon.

0:41.1

So all of you ignorant North Eastoners like myself who thinks or used to think it's Oregon,

0:46.2

it is not, as you hear in the podcast, I learned from, I wasn't until I was like 18 or 19.

0:51.3

I met someone in college who was from California and said, no, silly,

0:54.5

it's Oregon, not Oregon. So I've since realized or since pronounced it correctly. Anyway, I don't know

1:01.6

I'm going with that. We got a good one today. Brian is a really cool guy, interesting story. I'm glad he

1:08.9

was willing and able to share. And I folded in a new question. So you'll notice

1:13.6

these episodes, there's less questions than there was last year. I decided to trim out some of the

1:18.4

questions because I thought some of them were kind of duplicative or unnecessary and also in the name

1:23.4

of trying to shorten up the length of these episodes a bit.

1:31.0

So there are less questions going forward than there was last time, but I did add one,

1:35.8

just like I added last week to the retirement planner chat, a question about like,

1:38.0

what's the fun random fact about yourself?

1:40.1

So I'm looking forward to hearing that for everyone.

1:45.0

It makes me smile as I sit here on the other end of the microphone and record with these folks.

1:50.0

So I won't spoil it. I'll let Brian tell you what his fun fact is when he get into the episode. And there was a dad joke in the episode, so I won't give you another one now. But I did want to share my BGS or big goofy smile moment recently.
