What is the Bradford City Stadium fire, you say?

Well, if you're British, specifically Northern British, you'll probably know otherwise.

For everybody else, it was a fire in the city of Bradford near Leeds at the Valley Parade Stadium.

During a tilt between Bedford City and Lincoln City, two football clubs in the third division.

You see, it was an old stadium built mostly of wood and tons of rubbish underneath the bleachers that no one would pick up.

And on this fateful day, an Australian man was smoking.

Oh, that's what I always do.

Tried to put out his cigarette, which instead fell through the floorboards,

into the rubbish, and started a fire.
