Hi, Merlin. Fair enough. Hi, team. Here we go. We're going to start. I'm going to have the first

topic and then we're going to go around clockwise because that's the name of the podcast and discuss

those four topics over the course of the next half hour. I already explained how it works,

but there it is again. Let me start with this topic. There is an emoji controversy. They need a symbol for that, I think.

Members of the Unicode consortium are grumpy about all the time that the Unicode consortium is spent, spending, discussing which emoji should be in the spec for emoji instead of important stuff, like extra punctuation marks that are available in medieval Cornish, for example.
