Now on today's episode we're going to be talking about all things Bitcoin and who better

to do that with than the author of the book Bitcoin clarity and this is Kiara Bickers.

Hey thanks for having me on.

No doubt it's a pleasure.

So I've done a little brief intro there but for people who are not familiar with you

tell them a little bit about you.

Yeah so again my name's Kiara wrote this book called Bitcoin Clarity but I think your audience

would probably know me from back in the day it was like five years ago now where I was

at this my low event it was a my low at Berkeley and I was like mace live on television

for wearing a make Bitcoin grade again hat kind of became a little bit of like a Bitcoin

martyr there so yeah in the past couple years I've been working deep in the Bitcoin space

I work in a company called Blockstream pretty close to some of the core divs of Bitcoin

so that's like the people who develop the protocol technology and what I wanted to do

with my book is I wanted to think about how I could present Bitcoin so that the average

person could understand essentially what developers understand without getting into any

code or cryptography or any that that kind of stuff.

I hear you and how did you get into the world of Bitcoin how did you first discover it?

Yeah so I was I was really in a Ron Paul back in 2012 so I was pretty young back then

but I was following what he was saying about the Federal Reserve.
