But the one thing that I want to focus on for today's introduction is that I am not a guru

And the point that I'm eventually going to get to in this intro is that you are your guru, okay? You

You are in charge of your recovery your choices and what information you decide to apply to your life and what information you decide to throw away

In early recovery most of us need a lot of direction or help from someone else who's quit drinking and if you're curious

You'll listen you'll try things and figure out if it's a good fit for you

Just like trying anything new for the first time it takes a hot minute to learn how to do it

But once you have a handle on this you are ultimately in charge of how you apply your tools in your life and recovery

The reason why this is so important is because sometimes different methods of recovery contradict each other

One says to do this one says to do that a a will recommend 90 meetings and 90 days

But hey, this recovery coach over here says that they've got a great substitute for meetings instead
