And it's Christmas coming.

This coming Sunday is Christmas, so Merry Christmas to all of you.

Here in Moscow we have the most snow we've had in a while and it is so beautiful and challenging.

For sure, I think today it's like nine degrees, but I'm being very chatty.

Today I'm going to talk to you about grace.

Isn't that what we all need every day?

All the time, whether it's Christmas or not, that amazing grace.

And aren't we grateful for what God has done for us in Christ?

And of course, Christmas we're celebrating the Lord's birth.

And our family this year has a little extra special blessing that I should tell you about.

And that is the arrival of our 18th grandchild, Ezra Lawrence born to Luke and Rachel on December

13th.

And I can't tell you how that little guy has already changed our lives.

He is so sweet.

And it's been a while since we've had a baby because his big brother is seven.

So it is just a positively wonderful blessing and I'm not joking.

Ezra however, is an extra special little guy because he is down syndrome.

And as you may know, of course, that means his parents and our entire extended family.

And we as grandparents and his other side of grandparents and family have all received

a special promotion from the Lord.
