Summary

About this episode: A conversation circled around growing spiritually into the person God needs you to be. In episode 133 of the Blessed and Bossed Up podcast, Tatum continues the conversation that was started on Episode 111: Doer . Tatum jumpstarts this episode by reading a few words that were given to her directly from the Father. “I want my people to be doers” I want them to grow roots . Right now they are focused a lot on above the ground things. … In this podcast right now being a doer means to go deeper. “ Tatum gives us 3 powerful points filled with trying times and testimonies. That encourage us to not only hear the word of God and walk away but to hear the word of God , study the word of God, and most importantly grow in the word of God.

Hey guys, welcome to another episode of the Blessed and Bostup podcast.

0:34.0

I'm really excited about today's episode because today we're going to go a little bit deeper than where we've been going the last few weeks or I think honestly,

0:43.0

I feel like we're going to go deeper than we've gone before with this podcast and I'm really excited about that because I feel like God is really pushing us into new depths.

0:52.0

He's really pushing us into new seasons and I just feel like there's just a shift that is happening in a kingdom of God and God is really trying to get you to a certain place so that you are able to benefit from this season of open heaven or you're able to benefit from the things that he is trying to do with his people.

1:13.0

So I'm really excited about today's topic, but before we get into that, we got a couple of church announcements.

1:18.0

We're going to Atlanta. Of course, Atlanta is coming up for our tour. Go to God is my CEO tour dot com to get your tickets and Atlanta is coming up in a few weeks.

1:29.0

And we also have a giveaway for Atlanta. My aunt's company is sponsoring a ticket for someone a general admission ticket for someone in Atlanta who really wants to be at this tour, but may not be able to financially make it.

1:44.0

I'm really excited about this because one of my prayers I told you guys last week, I believe that I had to shift with my prayers worth as far as this tour was in certain ways.

1:55.0

So like in the beginning, I used to pray like, I can we have a sold out tour or sold out tour.

2:00.0

And the root of that was that I was focusing a lot on the numbers and I know for me because just a transparent moment, one of the things that I have to constantly overcome when it comes to dying to myself and being who God called me to be as I constantly have to overcome this achievement bondage is what I'm going to call it.

2:21.0

And the root of that is when I was growing up, I felt like I was neglected a lot because there were a lot of things going on in my household, but the thing that my that my parents always showed up for when it came to me was accomplishments.

2:34.0

So if I was made the honor roll, they would come to the to the things I graduated, they'll be at graduations, but as far as like my everyday needs and needs as a as a child, I wasn't getting them, and it was just a lot of things going on, but God has really has really shown me the root of where this overachiever thing has come from.

2:53.0

And so that's something I'm constantly working towards, but every now and every now and then he'll put that mirror up to me and be like, fix this, fix this. And so I'm just grateful, man, I'm a working progress. I ain't going to never come up on here and act like I got it all together together because that's a whole lot.

3:09.0

But but yeah, so I was praying about sold out to a sold out tour because I'm someone who values achievement because of that brokenness.

3:19.0

And then also not only just because of that brokenness, but just my personality in general, we talk about I talk about Chris Daniel's animal assessment, a lot he was a guest on the show, resting piece to him, where I took the animal assessment.

3:32.0

And it was pretty much a disc assessment like a personality assessment. And so found out that I am what he calls a gorilla. So gorillas are people who are very results driven. And so being a result driven person is good.

3:46.0

But when I'm doing things for the kingdom of God, I have to make sure that my definition of results are in alignment with what God is trying to achieve and not what say them once.

3:57.0

So for me, praying for a sold out tour was my me still being that gorilla focused on results, but my definition of results were the number of attendees was the number of money that was made was it being sold out.

4:14.0

But God's definition of results is the biggest people that he needs to be there actually being there and then their souls being saved and their lives being changed and them having an encounter with him and them not walking out the same way and people who didn't even know God or people who were lukewarm getting saved and being on fire for God.
