That's where you speak into the microphone in order to check that the level is being recorded correctly.

I don't know why when we check the level of a

microphone, why we count? One, one, two, one, two. Why do we count in order to check a microphone

level? I suppose it's because when we're checking a

microphone we just you know we don't have to use our imagination do we? Why do why

should we sort of say anything more meaningful than just one two. You hear it at music concerts, you know,

when the sound is being checked, there's always someone standing at the microphone going

1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2. They never managed to get to 3. They just stay on 1 and 2. 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2,

checking.

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 1, 2.

They never get to 3.

I think that they should do that.
