We went to bed and for no reason that I'm aware of I woke up at 4 a.m. and I know it was 4 a.m. because we had these kind of big French doors all glass

because we just moved in we didn't have time to put up curtains or anything and

the sky was this like eerily beautiful orange.

That's why I know it was four,

because I was like, is it Don?

Like it looked at my clock.

But no, there'd actually been a massive gas line explosion up the hill.

So this guy was orange and thank God, because that's how I could see this like

tidal wave of mud just like 30 feet high. We actually had this cool old

bolognes daybed thing that was at the far end of the yard and it was like 30 feet

up in the yard just careening towards us.

So I screamed to napper, like go that ever, because his bedroom was on the second floor and

he took off running and by the time I was trying to follow him the mud glass

boulders furniture was up to my waist so I couldn't follow him and I had to run the other way which was back to my bathroom

where there was a window and I don't know if you ever saw that Naomi Watts tsunami movie, but it was like that.
