Hello and welcome to my episode 132 Real Life Ghost Stories, and I have four spooky stories

0:29.9

for you today and the last story comes from June 15th 2021 and story number one comes from Elizabeth.

0:38.4

My grandmother grew up in an extremely small town outside of Napa Valley. There's an intersection,

0:44.4

a fire station, and her family's property, and that's it. When I was about 13, my mom,

0:51.2

myself, and two of my cousins spent a few days there with my grandmother's brother and his family.

0:56.1

We were all put up in his son's bungalow, which was this long one story building, and looked like it

1:02.9

had been built around 1902. The son's room was at one end, and we were situated at the opposite end.

1:55.7

not exactly what you'd think an animal randomly moving around or knowing would make.

2:01.3

It would give three distinctive scratches, and then it would stop for about six or seven seconds

2:06.8

and repeat. I was starting to get a bit freaked out, but I was the eldest and felt it was my

2:12.4

responsibility to look out for my younger cousins and make them feel safe. They looked nervous,

2:17.8

but I made myself appear as calm as possible, and tried to distract them by changing up the game

2:24.4

we were playing. But the scratching kept going, never moving from its spot, never changing its rhythm.

2:33.3

My heart was racing and I started to feel genuinely scared. I could tell by my cousins' faces

2:39.5

that they were really uncomfortable too. We stopped laughing and stopped playing, and we're just
