0:00.0	And I think part of the problem is that it's been now characterized as an identity as a choice.
0:06.0	You know, children have been taught in schools that we've all got this innate gender identity within us
0:11.0	and you can pick whatever you like and it can change from even hour to hour or minute to minute.
0:16.0	Whereas I'm saying, and actually it is classified as a mental health condition.
0:21.9	And we don't treat mental health conditions by affirming the delusion that the person believes
0:28.1	in.
0:29.1	We engage in exploration and trying to bring a person back to a state of reality. Because you can't choose your sex. Sex is binary and immutable. That's just the end of it. Some people say, well, it's not very kind to say that, but actually, as a psychotherapist, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind and affirming people's delusions is not kind at all.

1:20.4	Well, look, I've got loads of questions. Quite an empathetic individual on certain topics,

1:29.8	and you know a lot more than me. So I've got a lot of questions. Um, where are we right now and
1:39.7	with this topic? Because it feels like nature is healing in certain areas with what's happened with the
1:45.6	International Olympic Committee and certain things but I suspect this is a
1:50.5	a topic where there are sinister things that happen in the background that we're not really aware of
1:58.6	well quite right I mean people thought that when the Supreme Court, you know, the highest court in the
2:04.6	land ruled that sex means biological sex, that was it, right, that this stuff was going to
2:09.6	disappear and society would go back to a state of equilibrium and were many months on now from
2:14.6	that judgment and nothing could be further from the truth
