Summary

Melanie was stalked by her ex-husband after meeting and connecting with him online. When he told her about his criminal past, she felt they should just remain friends, but he won her over and they were quickly married. Melanie's new husband was immediately abusive, and she barely made it out of the marriage alive. After a horrible beating she filed for divorce and pressed charges. Her abuser only served five months in jail. After his release, he hacked Melanie's social media to get access to her photos and messages. He created fake social media accounts, posted her information online, and told her he would commit a murder-suicide. He constantly threatened Melanie, telling her how he wanted to torture and murder her. Things culminated in a high-speed chase and when law enforcement finally arrested him, they found large quantities of ammo, weapons, and body armor, confirming his threats to murder Melanie. **The following episode of Strictly Stalking contains graphic descriptions of domestic violence. Listener discretion is advised.**
