0:44.4	I never woke up one day as an adult and decided that I wanted a slow and simple life.
0:49.2	Pursuing simplicity was a natural part of my hard wiring from childhood.
0:53.6	I don't think there's one right way to do life, and my pursuit of simplicity may very well
0:57.7	look profoundly different from yours. This is part of the joy of crafting a purposeful life.
1:03.2	You don't have to wear anyone else's labels, and it is so important to keep in mind that simple
1:08.9	isn't always easy, but it is worth it. My decision to stay home, raise my babies and homeschool,
1:15.8	kept my life in the slow lane. We didn't have to rush out the door in the morning,
1:20.1	pack lunches, or operate according to school bells. My kids and I had freedom to explore on nature walks,
1:26.6	read aloud, and discuss great novels, or cuddle on the couch watching a movie when we needed the
1:31.6	break. We enjoyed time for long discussions and Lego, and could pack up and visit family without
1:37.3	waiting for the weekend. Home schooling is also hard work, and as a strong introvert who spent her
1:42.6	time 24-7 with kids for 20 years, I sometimes felt desperate for a loan time. I felt rather starved
