Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

If this is your first time joining us today, then let me just welcome you and say that I am so glad that you're here.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing beautiful godly wife Lacey and our two

wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity. So let me begin today by sharing with you guys

something about myself that is less than flattering. And isn't it just true that whenever we hear

somebody say that, whenever we hear that someone's about to like share an area of struggle or something about themselves like that, that it immediately grabs our attention.

So, which is part of the reason why I'm starting with it right at the beginning of this episode.

So now that I have your attention, one thing that I have seen in myself at different points over the course of my life and like my

walk with the Lord is this. There have been times where there has been, I don't know, maybe I've

been in a small group with other believers or been listening to somebody teach a lesson or give a sermon or something like that.

And this isn't across the board what I'm about to say, but it has happened a few times.

And there have just been times where, like I said, it could be in any of these contexts,

where I just feel in my heart like, I don't like this person that's speaking.

Like, I don't think their points are good

and I'm annoyed by the fact that other people think that their points are good. I'm annoyed by the fact

that other people are impressed by them. I'm annoyed by the fact that, uh, they're getting the attention that they're getting.

Now, like I said, this is not across the board. This isn't like every single time I hear a sermon or

everything. I'm not even saying it's the majority of the time. It's not. However, there are,

there have just been a few times with a few people where I have really felt that way

over the course of my life as a Jesus follower.

But as time went on, something has become clear, a similarity between the people that I feel

this way about.
