Hi Katie. Hey David and we also have a guest this week, Eddie Smith, my pal. How are you doing Eddie?

I'm doing great David. How are you doing Katie?

I'm doing great.

I have some news, I guess.

Yeah, well, I'm calling it my pal because we've been

spending a lot of time together lately on text messages and even the telephone

once a while we pick that up just for giggles and we wrote a book together

the Max Sparky Field Guide to Markdown and it's now in the I bookstore so we thought

we'd go back and talk about Mark Down a little bit.

Yeah, and best of all, we're still speaking.

And it's funny because I'm actually, writing a book is a lot like building a house and there can be some stressful moments but we're still friends we're

still pals so that's a bonus. It's stressful I'm a peach to work with right? No it was

awesome every aspect of it was a blast. I had a great time doing it.

So guys, how did you get together and decide that you wanted to do a book on Markdown?

I mean, I know you both use Markdown in pretty much for all of the the writing

that you do in your professional and your personal lives but what made you decide

yeah we want to sit down and write a book on this topic.

Well, as I said in the book, I dream in Markdown. So it was natural.
