Welcome back to another interview here at SBL.

And in this episode, Jonathan Herrera is flying the flag for SBL,

and the amazing, the one and only, Darrell Jones is in the hot seat.

Now, Darrell has been the bass player for artists such as Sting,

the Rolling Stones and Miles Davis.

Need I say any more? Now, as you can imagine, he's got one or two

stories up his sleeve, but the big takeaway for me from this interview is that to get the really

big gigs, you know, technique and chops are one thing, but what it really comes down to is really, really, really fantastic

musicianship.

In fact, here's a quick cut of Daryl talking about his first few gigs with Miles Davis,

and it is a fantastic example of exactly what I'm talking about.
