Bob Smetana has written recently under the headline,

Southern Baptist Laws Nearly Half a Million Members in 2022.

Two membership in the Southern Baptist Convention was down nearly half a million in 2022

according to a recently released denomination report.

Nashville-based Lifeway Research reported Tuesday that the SPC had 3.2 million members in 2022

down from 3.68 million in 2021.

That is a loss of 457-371 members in just a year.

And apparently, the losses are increasing.
