Hello and welcome to another episode of the Mark Grove's podcast. You know, this week we are going to be talking all about the body's response. What I mean by that is how the nervous system interacts and works in relationship and

how do we begin to do the work to heal that. And this is a more recent experience of my own,

which is the adventure of understanding the like edges of when my body goes into reactivity and how in some ways I've trained myself

to not even notice it or to like ignore these body responses that say hey like delay a game

delay a game like hold on a second just pay attention here and I'm like bulldoze past that

or when it's giving me valuable

information and I've devalued that information in my past and so learning how to pay attention to

the body again and also if we are someone who gets hyper activated as if the nervous system is

always activated how do we actually bring it back

down? You know, so it's like this idea of getting back into relationship with our nervous

system and our bodies if we've been disassociated and also getting dialed down a bit and

learning how to regulate.

And this is the dance in relationship,

how two peoples and more,

but two people,

their nervous systems actually feed off each other and can, like,

we sense on a very unconscious level

all these threats and fight, flight, freeze,

and all the things that are occurring, like,

on an unconscious level, we're constantly surveying for safety and security and relationships.
