Summary

0:47.6	get started, we wanted to quickly apologize because it's been a while, actually, since we had an episode. I know we did have one last week, but it was late, but we skipped a week because I was sick. And then our last episode was late because we participated in the podcast Blackout Movement, where we just silenced our own voices for a day
1:13.3	to encourage everyone to listen to those around them. So we are back with you today. We're bringing
1:18.9	you another cult, as you heard Stephen kind of set the scene for. And let's get to it.
1:24.6	We are going to journey back to 2011 when three men founded a very small church in Wells, Texas.
1:33.3	This church went by the Church of Arlington.
1:36.3	Then it changed its name to You Must Be Born Again Ministries,
1:41.2	before it was commonly known as it is today as the Church of Wales. These three men,
1:47.4	Sean Morris, Jacob Gardner, and Ryan Ringall would gather over 200 members devoted to their cause.
1:57.1	Sean Morris actually lived in Nigeria in elementary school and then Kuwait for middle school.
2:03.9	His father was an engineer for Chevron and they went back to Texas so he could attend high school.
2:10.6	In high school, he played basketball, he drank with his friends and he was even known to bully a few of his classmates.
2:20.2	So after he graduated high school, he went to Baylor University to study religion.
2:26.7	And when he was in college, he wasn't really the typical college kid that you and I would think of.
2:33.7	He wasn't on any intramural
