You're going to be. Welcome to the happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. In last week's podcast we examined together how awareness is the

0:27.1

cornerstone of helping us change our behavior. In this week's podcast we're going to look at how awareness is the cornerstone of who we are.

0:37.0

But Dr. Puff, how could awareness be the cornerstone of who we are?

0:44.0

I mean, after all, we have our families,

0:46.3

we have our experiences, we have our schooling,

0:50.1

we have our memories.

0:51.8

Don't all these memories experiences together, create and make us

1:46.2

of who we are changes. Let's say, for example, when we were in elementary school, we were

1:52.3

very shy and hesitant to make new friends.

1:56.5

Then we got into high school, got into drama, became more actively involved with other people,

2:02.2

and enjoyed interacting with other people.

2:05.2

But if we then went up the university, we may take on a completely different persona, a different

2:11.0

identity. We may now become the party animal,

2:14.0

and we may become the academic scholar. There's different hats that we wear throughout our

2:18.9

lives. When we go to family or high school reunions, yes, there's characteristics that are the same,
