Our guest on the podcast today is our friend Marie Wood.

Marie is the director of Act 17 Apologetics, a ministry she started with her husband David,

which is primarily on YouTube.

She is also the co-founder and vice president of M-TM-C-N-M Family Connection,

a support and advocacy organization for children and adults and families affected by rare congenital myopathies.

Marie and David have five sons, two who are medically fragile. So we wanted to have

Marie on to talk about life as a caregiver and many of the struggles that come with that life. We also

wanted to learn more about how those of us who aren't caregivers can be an encouragement to those who are.

But before we jump into our conversation, we want to give you a little background on Marie's story.

Marie grew up in a Catholic home, but had many unanswered questions about God as she grew up.

So by the time she got to college as a biology major, she found herself

far away from any kind of faith. But then she met two friends, David would, later to be her husband,

and Nabil Qureshi. At that time, David was a new convert to Christianity, and Nabil was a Muslim.

She began to listen and engage in Nabil and David's debates about who Jesus was and how we know truth, and whether belief in God is rational.

As a result of these discussions, Anne Marie's research and reading in Christian apologetics, she became a follower of Jesus.

Nabil also became convinced of the truth of Christianity and left his Muslim faith.

He wrote about his story in a book called Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus.
