Her blog, Design Sponge, which started out with a few thousand followers, now attracts more than

two million visitors a day, and her recently released book in the company of women is already

topping the charts.

much for having me. I'm so happy to be here. I'm thrilled that you're happy to be here. You have the essence of happiness all around you. That's like from the minute you walk in the room. That's what I'm getting off of you, which is great. And I love your story because with design sponge in particular, it started out as a hobby. And it grew into something so much bigger. It did. It was absolutely, I mean, when I was

starting in 2004, nobody was doing a blog as a career. So I never imagined that would be sort of

the dream job that I could have. And what did your parents say when you said, I'm doing this

blog? My mom told everyone I worked on the email for a long time.

But they're both so supportive and have been so great.

But it took a while to kind of understand the concept that I was creating something.
