0:42.0	How do you think anybody gains respect?

0:51.0	Seriously, mother or not, how does anybody gain respect?
0:59.0	In the military, why do people respect somebody who's higher up?
1:09.0	Maybe I don't, I guess.
1:19.0	I don't know how to answer that.
1:22.0	Okay, well in the military, when somebody is a higher status, you respect them for two reasons.
1:28.0	One, they're a higher status, and you're obligated to behave that way.
1:32.0	So when children are not brought up to be respectful of adults, they don't respect adults.
