and fall asleep easier. So let's just get straight into it.

The first breathing technique I'd like to talk about is super simple and nice and short. Just take a

deep breath in, hold for one second and then release your breath in one long exhale. That's it. I'm sharing this

technique with you because it's so easy and you can use it anywhere at any time. It's especially

useful when you're in the middle of a stressful situation because you don't really need to remember anything

or take a lot of time. You just need to remind yourself to take this one deep breath.

Another breathing technique I love is called spinal pearls.

I learned this beautiful technique at yoga and it's another simple

but really effective way to tune into your breath. So the way you practice this technique is to

imagine your spine is a string of pearls. As you inhale, imagine your breath is traveling up the string

of pearls and as you exhale, imagine your breath is traveling up the string of pearls, and as you exhale, imagine your breath is traveling down the string of pearls.

I find this is such a useful technique because if I'm having trouble concentrating on the breath, the added visualization really helps to focus my mind.
