Hello, I'm Sean Curran, and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4.

For Thursday, the 13th of February, when a former Prime Minister said the UK should consider sending troops to Ukraine to secure any peace deal.

The United Kingdom and its European allies must lead in providing Ukraine with military support

and potentially military presence across land, air and sea.

There are calls for people who lost loved ones in the infected blood scandal to get compensation as soon as possible.

Can I ask the Minister to outline a timeline of when all victims can expect to have received their long overdue compensation?

And England's Chief Medical Officer says the NHS dental system is very weak.

This has been a problem which has been slowly getting worse since the early 1990s, to be

clear.

This is not a sudden recent problem.

It's been steadily getting worse.

But first, the Conservative former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has suggested that the UK and

its European allies should send troops to Ukraine in the event of any peace deal.

The United Kingdom and its European allies must lead in providing Ukraine with military support

and potentially military presence across land, air and sea to give Ukraine confidence that any peace

will endure. And can I assure the government that it will have my support

if that's what it decides to do?

Mr Sunak made his comments as MPs digested the news

that Donald Trump had agreed to open talks with Russia's Vladimir Putin

about ending the three-year war in Ukraine.
