Where is the mark of the beast? Is the mark of the beast 666? Is it on the head or is it on the hand?

This is a topic that came up in our last podcast, as I was talking about, is the world ready?

Is it the stage set for the coming of the Antichrist? And we looked at all the details of the Antichrist from the book of Revelation

also from St. Paul in Second Thessalonians and one of the things I mentioned there was the mark of the beast and it being on the forehead on the back of the hand and how it relates to

the Antichrist's perversion and inversion of everything that our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished

and instituted when he instituted the sacraments and the kingdom of God as the church.

And so people have been interested in this and I thought I'd revisit the mark of the beast.

And in particular, the peculiar detail in Revelation

chapter 13 about the number of the beast. Why is it 666? And then why is it that it's on the

forehead and the hand? And one of the things that I mentioned in the last podcast, I said a lot of people

read the book of Revelation. They read the apocalypse. And they then take everything in contemporary

news and they try to shove that into the book of Revelation. And that is a grave error.
