Isaiah chapter 21, verses 16 and 17.

For thus, the Lord said to me, within a year, according to the years of a hired worker,

all the glory of Qadar will come to an end.

And the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of Qadar will be few. For the Lord, the God of Israel has spoken. What I love about these two

verses, this is prophecy that Isaiah is speaking,

thus the Lord says to me

that the glory of Qadar,

the mighty men and the sons of Qadar

are going to come to an end.

They're going to be few.

And how do I know that?

Because the Lord,

the God of Israel has spoken.

I read that and I just think, yes.

God, whatever you speak,

whatever you say will stand.

I just, I look at these verses and I think,

my life, my hope is totally based on the surety,

certainty of God's word, that what he has said will stand, that the word of God of God is a sure foundation. It is sure than anything else in this world.

So many things are changing and shifting in the world around us. But God's word is always sure.
