It is currently the 8th day of July 2019, rapidly approaching 2019 deer season, just months away. a couple quick things before we fire into this episode we

recorded Friday night one thing I wanted to bring up just real quick while it's on top of

my head is trail cameras this time of year i put my trail cameras out

a couple months ago because i was using them for turkey hunting through the course of the spring

they got loaded up with ants i went out i went out friday um with the intentions of recovering three trail camera cards, putting fresh

batteries and three cameras and changing the cards out, and I took a fourth camera with me.

First camera I got to had ants in it, so I took that camera down, put it in my backpack,

and replaced it with the camera that I took out

there. Second camera that I went to was full of ants. Third camera that I went to, full of ants.

I was extremely disappointed. In the past, I've tried to use different pest deterrence to

kill the ants, and, you know, I've gotten to the point now where it's, you know, I've tried to use different pest deterrence to kill the ants. And, you know, I've

gotten to the point now where it seems like the only way that I can really get rid of them is I bring

the cameras right in. I take them off the tree. It sucks because you lose some downtime. I bring my cameras in.

I put them in the freezer for 24 hours. I put them in the freezer for 24 hours.

I put them in the freezer for overnight so that I know that if there's any ants still inside there, which there always is,

you know, you obviously get the bulk of them out by just brushing them off, shaking it off, blowing it out, whatever you do.
