Welcome back to the quote of the day show I'm your host Sean Crox and a Sean Crox and

comm. We've got Michael Wicked on the show today and he's talking about what in my opinion

is one of the best indicators of whether or not you're going to be successful. And that

is the lenses through which you see your life, the lenses through which you see the world.

I think it was Einstein who talked about, you know, do you see the world or the universe

as a friendly place or as a dangerous place? And if you see the world as a dangerous place,

then you're looking at the world through a lens of cynicism and pessimism. You're expecting

bad things to happen. And as you know, you get what you expect. You find exactly what

you're looking for. And if you're wearing pessimistic lenses, you're going to find things to

be pessimistic about successful people tend to be realistic optimist. Now what is that?

Optimist tend to just like everything's great, everything's good. That's actually a bad

thing. You might want to read a book called rethinking, positive thinking, there's some

great research as to like being overly optimistic is actually not a good thing. It actually

creates terrible results. It also robs you of your motivation. So you want to be realistically

optimistic. And what I mean by that is, hey, you're expect, you expect great things to

happen, but also you know that there are going to be obstacles and difficulties in the way.

So be there like be where you want to be in your mind, but just know it is not going to

be easy because life is always going to be life. Michael Wicked coming up.

Now, as soon as we talk about optimism, it'll always be people who say, yeah, but it's

difficult to be optimistic in a world filled with cynics. And I heard somebody say that

the other day and I thought, well, I've heard that word, cynic before. I'm not sure
