Happy Friday, boss babes. Welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader, Spencer Henry, and where have you been?

0:43.0

I've been trying to call you all week. We haven't talked since Monday. Monday, you're missing out on an opportunity that I have for you.

0:51.0

Sometimes when I start my episodes, I pretend like I'm answering the phone just because it's me in a room by myself. You don't need to know that. That's my trick.

1:03.0

Showing you behind the curtains the life and times of a radio starlet. If you're new, I'm sorry. You're late.

1:15.0

If you're new, this is a little leader. Little leaders are not a cult leader. They are where I read the stories that you guys send me. Hey, if you have a story you'd like to send in for a little leader, send it on over to Spencer at Cult Leader.com.

1:27.0

I am sitting, speaking of little leaders, speaking of this, I'm sitting on so many crazy stories in my inbox right now, but first things first, I have got a story for you guys this week.

1:39.0

I have my own little leader and it comes in the form of a typewriter. So picture it. I'm sitting with Olivia. She and her husband just purchased a new house in doing so. They acquired some boxes of old family, memorabilia, lots of cool shit.

1:57.0

I want to show you guys, but I feel like I have to do it on Instagram stories or something because there's no way to show you something on a podcast. And that's showbiz, baby. See, I told you I'm giving you all the tips, all the tricks from behind the scenes. You guys, I get messages all the time.

2:13.0

How do you, how do you start a podcast? You know, it pretends it's a phone call. You can't show things that need to be visualized. All right. Now sitting there with Olivia, we're going through these boxes. She had me look through some boxes of just cool mid-century stuff.

2:26.0

That I would probably want to put in my living space and I got some cool shit. And then we happen upon this box full of photo albums. So we're sitting outside. I'm going through these boxes. There's lots of photos, like really cool photo albums in there from like the 40s, 50s, 60s.

2:45.0

And I just live for that. I could look at that stuff all day long. There's someone walking by the back window to my apartment right now. I'm sitting in the office of my apartment and someone's walking by and they always wheel this backpack. So I call them the backpack bandit. I think they're gone.

3:00.0

So I find these letters, right? And they're at the bottom of the box under all these pictures. They're sitting in front of me right now. There's probably like 30 letters here. So I'm actually right now ASMR trying to find the right letters. Let me give you. I wanted to make sense. It's all I want.

3:17.0

Another hot tip. Make it make sense. These letters are between a group of siblings. These are old, old letters, decades and decades and decades ago. But basically a lot of it is revolving around an estate and dividing up the estate among different siblings. And there's this one letter is the first letter that I, here it is, that I found and pulled out.

3:41.0

And I just really wanted to read it to you guys. My dad actually called me this morning and I was out getting coffee or something and he's like, hey, you know, like what do you got going on today? And I was like, oh, I'm recording a little leader. And he's like, you're going to talk about those letters. And I said, I sure am. I said, don't worry. I'll keep it anonymous. So I'm just going to, I don't know. I'll figure it out.

4:02.0

But well, let's play by ear. Let's improv this letter and maybe I'll say names. Maybe I want deer blank, blank, blank and blank. As you must all know by now, blanks hallucinations have been in ordeal for me during most of our marriage.

4:18.0

And I'm really maddening. Are the times she accuses me of harboring a bevy of frolic some females upstairs. She actually hears them tripping about and even up and down the stairs. Whenever I insist, okay, why don't we go investigate? These creatures have somehow escaped through locked screen and windows.

4:37.0

I reject the notion as does her doctor that medication account for her periodic arrangements. I feel that two most unhappy marriages and the fact that she lost her son account for her trouble primarily beyond that she has endured for many years a number of painful physical afflictions last she's obsessed that I must find many women more attractive than she is and that I make out with them. And then he wrote in parentheses at my age,

5:05.0

and the letter goes on to talk about his previous wife who had passed away. Anyways, it led me into finding all of these other letters and there's so many letters about this woman and her her antics.

5:21.0

And I'm like, when I first read it, I looked at Olivia and I was like, do you think that blank was keeping people, keeping females in the attic perhaps. And the more that we read, you know, I look through other letters and I see things like so I am a sick woman's attendant rather rough at my age. I've told you this sort of story before.

5:41.0

And basically the whole thing is talking about like how they're going to include her in his will. See what this says. He's referring to her again. He says blank cares for all dearly and that's the truth.

5:57.0

I like her people but without much enthusiasm and that is the truth. They are good people and have been very kind to me. It is simply that I do not have a big generous heart nor can I pretend to have that hurts her deeply and me deeply for her but I cannot change like so.
