Well, hello, everybody. Thank you for listening, as always. I'm glad you're here. So today,

I'm going to share my thoughts on things that should be considered when you were trying to decide if you should buy or rent a place, a house, a place to live as a primary residence in retirement. And I'll get into some scenarios where this might come up. you know, for some people who rent a house

always have and always plan on living there and probably never crossed your mind to consider

selling your house to go rent somewhere. But if you do sell for whatever reason, downsize or

move because you just retired and want to travel the world, then it could be a different,

different consideration. So I don't have a concrete exact list, unfortunately, like a sort of mind map that says,

if you check this box, this box, this box, you should definitely rent or you should definitely

I think this is a very complicated topic, and I struggled to come up with thoughts about

this. And it's in response to a

really good question someone sent me through email a multi-part question about buy averse

rent and so that's sort of prompt me you know what let me just kind of spill my thoughts about the

things to consider and factors to keep in mind when making the decision, but the actual outcome is going to be so

dramatically different for everyone based on the unique circumstances and whatnot that I couldn't,

you know, I don't think I was able to come up with some sort of like really clean cut. Uh,

you know, if you follow this process and checklist, this will point you to the direction of the right answer.
