Today on the show we'll be interviewing Chris Williams, co-director of the new Disney film Big Hero 6,

about a team of young science nerds who use their inventions to become

superheroes and battle a mysterious villain armed with swarms of robots.

Hi, thank you very much.

Thanks for having me.

Okay, and so your new movie is called Big Hero 6.

So just how did this project first get started?

Well, I should say that there were actually two directors on the movie.

I'm one of them and Don Hall was the other and it really began with with Dawn and and his passion for the superhero genre.

It's something that that really spoke to him as a kid. He grew

up loving superhero stories and reading comic books and he of course also loved

animation and that's what brought him to Disney and he was at a

point where he was coming off of directing Winnie the Pooh and he expressed to our

boss John Lasseter how how much you'd love to work in that genre and at the same time try to

defy people's expectations of what you might do with that genre.
