Summary

In the 1980s USSR’s Rostov Oblast was terrorized by a cold-blooded serial killer. Women and children disappeared from bus stops and train stations, and police were at a loss. They called the faceless killer The Rostov Ripper, The Butcher of Rostov, The Maniac… After a decade-long killing-spree, police arrested an unassuming man. Andrei Chikatilo was a former teacher and grandfather. Had he been hiding in plain sight all along?
