Summary

Detective Michael Collazo was in the office doing paperwork when he and his partners overheard the call of an active shooter at the Covenant School in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Unlike Uvalde, Metro Nashville PD wasted no time getting to the scene, engaging the shooter, and ending the threat to innocent life. Michael gives us her version of events, how he and his team were able to take action so quickly, and lessons for other departments. Dedicated to Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney, and Hallie Scruggs, all age 9, substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, custodian Mike Hill, and head of school Katherine Koonce.
