We're going to dive into the Immaculate conception because this is one of the four dogmas

that Catholics are bound to believe about Mary and there's all kinds of confusion about

this, frankly, both with Catholics and non-Catholics.

So let's jump into it.

First of all, what is it? Because lots of people mistakenly think that the immaculate conception refers to how Jesus

was conceived in Mary's womb. But that's what I used to think a long time ago. But it's not.

It's how Mary was conceived in her mother's womb. And as I said, there's a lot of confusion,

even amongst Catholics as to what the immaculate conception teaches, like all of it. So let's lay it

out. This dog must states that Jesus's mother, alone, amongst all the

billions of human persons born since the beginning of the world, was conceived without inheriting the

curse of Adam and Eve's fall. So by God's plan and by His grace, because Mary's not divine,

that's not Catholic teaching, okay? But by God's plan and by His grace, Mary was kept free from sin from the moment of her conception until the end of her earthly life.

And not only was she free from sin, but she was also free from concupacence. You guys remember that from your old CCD classes.
