You know, the narrative of big tech companies getting bigger, having all the advantages

during the pandemic, using data to strengthen their hold on the economy, that's the story

that I tell in this book.

And it's the story of the last couple of years.

And it's not changing.

There are still opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, but I don't see any

signs that the Amazon Boulder rolling downhill is slowing down.

If anything, it feels like it's gathering speed.

This week we're very excited to be joined by author Brad Stone.

He's a senior executive editor for Global Technology at Bloomberg.

For our purposes, he is the author of Amazon Unbound, the Upstarts, which is about Airbnb

and Uber and the Everything Store.

2013 book, The Seminole Tale of the Rise of the Amazing, Everything Store that Jeff

Bezos created, and really a biography of the man, the company he built, and how he changed

America.

For our purposes, that's exactly what we want to talk about today, which is what does this

company do?

Everybody knows about Amazon.com, but that's not the entire story and hasn't been for a while.

AWS, their largest server company.

Now they're in Prime Video.

Now Bezos is about the Washington Post.
