Good Day Thomas Jefferson Hour podcast listeners and I you know Clay I think this show is it's a first isn't it?

Well I don't normally do this an eclipse is unique but I don't normally record myself. I much prefer the conversations

that we have, but this seems like one of those times when if you have a chance to share this with the Thomas Jefferson

hour folks you just have to do it so I took a recording device with me out into the

middle of Wyoming and you were not so very far away with your wife and your son and we we were

triangulating now Jefferson would have had a seat with stop watches you know

we would have been we would have had walkieies, we would have been coordinating down to the last second.

I actually ran into a trucker after the eclipse who was still watching the very tail end of it

and he had on a headset and a very special lens on his camera he had

taken some spectacular photographs of the eclipse and I thought this is America

he had been I asked him how long have you been planning this he said oh forever

I said how did you know where you were going to be and he said I made sure I would be in Wyoming

Isn't that great? He's just standing by his 18-wheeler, you hear the desling of it.

Yeah, you had mentioned this before, but I didn't get that story. That's terrific.

He's talking to his kin back in Nashville, and I'm trying to talk with him and he's saying,

all right, so how many minutes to occlusion there?

What's the cloud cover?

I need to know.

Is there a way you can move?

And so they were coordinating in this marvel he had a headset on.

Jefferson would have been so proud of this man.
