Let's say my anxiety is really, really kicked off. I don't know why. It's because I've got anxiety. It's not. It's because your nervous system has been triggered. And the more you can start to understand what triggers you, the more you can then learn how to soothe yourself through that trigger. And that's the other, you know, double-edged

sort of trauma is if you've had deep trauma, you have not learned how to comfort yourself.

Because you've been so busy trying to manage riding the wild horse, coping with all these

extreme survival adaptations that you've never actually got to a place of comfort.

Heal the pain.

First of all, heal the pain and the behaviours stop.

You know, but we're focusing on treating the behaviours

with disordering fear.

Like no one's allowed to be afraid anymore.

So we're not connecting with the parts of us

that are deeply, deeply afraid.
