His eminence, Cardinal Burke, recently appeared on Raymond Arroyos, show an interview in which they discussed how young people are flocking to the traditional Latin Mass.

This, after new studies, new polls, new demographics reveal that some say 8 and ten, nine and ten of Catholics are not

staying in the Catholic Church past the age of 22, 30 different studies show different numbers.

And yet in the traditional Latin mass communities, you look around teenagers, young adults,

22-year-olds with their brand-new baby, 27-year-olds with their brand new baby, 27-year-olds with four kids.

There seems to be a vitality.

There seems to be something alive there.

But also in this interview, something caught my ear.

And that is the strategy of Cardinal Burke with regard to the traditional Latin Mass.

Now, I know a lot of rad trads, radical traditionalists, hardcore trads,

sort of, you know, let's be honest, they don't like the approach of Cardinal Burke.

It is the approach of remaining in continuity with the Second Vatican Council,

issuing Dubia to Pope Francis,

challenging but not challenging enough, they say. And now with the election of Pope Leo

the 14th, we've seen a lot of overtures in both directions. Pope Leo the 14th, of course,

saying public congratulations and nice things

about Cardinal Burke and Cardinal Burke saying nice things about Pope Leo the 14th. And as I

listen to this interview, it's something that I've kind of know, but it became concrete in my mind.

And that is the strategy of Cardinal

Burke is to say that the new mass, the Novus Ordo, the missile of Paul the 6th, which went into

practice in 1970, it is not really the mass called for by the bishops at the second Vatican Council.
