Summary

Scott Kiloby is an author and international speaker on mindfulness and addiction recovery. Scott is also the founder and director of the Kiloby Center for Recovery. After twenty years of addiction to drugs and alcohol, Scott began to develop Natural Rest for Addiction which has helped people all over the world confront the root of their addiction, anxiety, and depression. Scott was the COO of MyLife Recovery which held the patent on the naltrexone implant. Scott also developed an app that acts as an interface between pain management doctors and their patients to decrease the likelihood of addiction. The app also protects doctors legally from claims of negligence arising out of opiate overdoses. Along with his work at the Kiloby Center, Scott is also the director and co-owner of the Natural Rest House, a detox and residential addiction treatment center located in La Quinta, California. And I also met Scott out of the Science and Non-Duality Conference in California.

He's one of these people that you sort of feel like he's a buddy, like you've known him

for a long time.

I see a lot of people making comments like that, that they appreciate your kind of

down-to-earthness and approachability and so on.

And I appreciate that, too.

Scott is a recovering attorney.

He was a professional attorney, but these days is devoting his full attention to his teaching,

which is multifaceted, and I would say very practical and down to earth.

A lot of times in, I mean, Scott identifies himself as a non-dual teacher,

but a lot of times in non-dual circles, there's not a lot of attention or importance given

to practical considerations like relationships and financial problems and, you know, all the various

real-world situations that people live, those things are often dismissed as

illusory or not worthy of our attention because there's no one to have such problems, therefore

why should we dwell on the problems and so on?

But you seem to have managed to nicely integrate the whole spectrum of the non-dual with the actual living of life.
