This is Nancy Wilson, thanks for joining me today.

Today I thought I would talk to you about repetition.

This is how God has made the world for us.

Each morning, the sun rises, thank the Lord, and evening comes, and we sleep and we get

up in the morning and we do the duties, he's assigned to us.

And then we repeat.

We get ourselves in order, we get dressed, we make breakfast, we throw in a load of laundry.

We each have our daily schedules, our daily rituals.

We have seasons and years and birthdays to mark, anniversaries, Christmas, and so the world

goes round and round.

But for us Christians, this is not tedious or boring, but rather comforting and joyful.

We rest in knowing that God has ordained all things, and that our lives and our times

are completely in His hands.

And that He's given us work to do, suited exactly for us, for our good, and for His glory.

And much of it is repetitive work.

And so we can press on running the race that He has set out for us.

However, sometimes we can become restless for something else, or something better, or

something new, and the desire itself is not necessarily sinful, depending on what it

is we're longing for, but the restlessness can become a temptation to discontent or can

be a sign that discontent has already taken root.
