Hello, everyone. Welcome to Impossible to Say. My name is Emily Proctor. And my name is Kat Wellington.

I'm so sorry for no episode last week, you guys. We did record one and I was like ready to edit it,

but it just felt really weird because we recorded it the day. The morning, the

fire started. And the way that, like, I was talking about it, like, I knew it was bad. I knew it

was going to be bad, but I just didn't know it was going to be obviously as bad as it is,

which no one did. So it just felt really, everything I was saying, like, felt insensitive and wrong,

which I wasn't being insensitive about it, obviously, but it just felt, it didn't feel

like the right thing to put out when so many people were going through such a tragic time,

not that they would hear this probably, but just anyway, we didn't put it out. And I was

evacuated, so I wasn't really like editing. But we're back. Yay. Yeah. I don't think we realized

the magnitude of the fires at that time. I mean, it was literally like it had literally like just

started pretty much. And we didn't realize how awful it was going to be so um obviously

we're all glad that you're safe and that cheddar is safe yeah how are you guys so much yeah

thank you everyone for checking in obviously thank god i'm in a pretty safe spot to be in but when i I had left, it didn't, it didn't feel like that.

It was like, it was just one of those times where everyone was kind of sitting around, like,

what do I do? And the day that I ended up leaving, like, just more things started happening

out of the blue. Like sunset fire there was another anyway

other fires um like a transformer exploded in west hollywood and everything just felt like very unsure

uh me and all my friends were in like the red flag area which is just like be aware and then the

evacuation zones were moving closer into Santa

monica so i was never in an evacuation zone so just to make that clear i've been like safe the

whole time but then it's also i was just watching the news nonstop and they're talking about the embers
