Clifford is my guest.

Clifford, who's last name I don't remember, but I'm sure we say it in the conversation.

He was briefly my drumming teacher.

I took drumming lessons because I found a group on and I've always wanted to dabble in

the African drumming scene.

And so I took a few classes and Clifford's a really nice guy and I wanted to talk to

somebody about the mysteries of drumming.

And I knew that he'd been to Africa and been studying percussion for a long time.

So I invited him on the podcast and we talk about drumming.

It's cool.

I'm interested in that stuff.

I suck at it.

But I think it's very important to do things that one sucks at.

And sucking, sucking itself, the word sucking as meaning bad, it's something is kind of

a weird thing.
