Charlotte, North Carolina.

On April 23rd, that General Conference will end tomorrow.

In the intervening days, they have made some major steps they believe forward advancing the LGBTQ agenda in that church body.

Joining us to talk about the general conference of the United Methodist Church, Mark Tooley, president

of the Institute on Religion Democracy based in Washington, D.C., an author of the book, taking

back the United Methodist Church. Mark, welcome back.

Good to be with you again.

Are you surprised that the United Methodist Church, or what remains of it, is proceeding full steam ahead on the LGBTQ agenda?

No surprise at all. This was a foregone conclusion when most of the US

traditionalists took advantage of a temporary church policy allowing departure

with church property.

So 25% or nearly 7,700 churches

exited by the end of last year.

And so there was almost no resistance,

conservative resistance at this general conference.

What specifically did the United Methodist Church decide to do?
