So there is the non-believer feeling anxious to share and kind of frustrated that the

believing spouse isn't open.

There's the believing spouse being willing or not to be open.

There's this other really important dynamic that I think is one of the most repeated and

dangerous parts about a mixed faith marriage, which is that the believing spouse starts

to look on the non-believing spouse as a disappointment.

Or in the worst case, they start to shame their believing spouse for not being the righteous

priesthood holder or for breaking the deal.

And that can drive the believing spouse into secret, be act secret behaviors, living a

double life, living a split life because they're afraid to tell or show their believing

spouse who they really are.

That can become a huge problem.

But then also the resentment that builds in the non-believer as they're continually living
