Phillies? I never put that together. I never said both at the same time. I guess this is a weird

moment. Shouldn't be in the intro. Yankees won the series, two games, to one, and they lose a third

game. That was a real head scratcher. Let's talk Yankes.

What the hell was that, man? Like they're the Philly Philly, basically. Yeah. That'd be like if the Yankees

were the New York New Yorkers. Yeah, New York Nicarbockers. That's not great. A lot of bad team

names in sports, man. They were made a while ago. Mets for Metro-Politans is pretty bad.

Yeah. How about athletics? Yeah, that's I like that. I like that because, well, I like it because it's so old-school.

There's a lot of bad team names, man. Like when you actually think about it, even like a generic one,

like the Tigers. Like that's not a great team name. We're Tigers. Okay, so what's your opinion

of a good one? The Yankees is cool because it started naturally. Yeah. I mean, we're obviously

going to like the Yankees team name. They were the Highlanders, but no one, the newspaper writers,

they said that didn't fit into any headline. Like you couldn't fit Highlanders into a catchy headline

is too long. So the media just changed it to Yanks because it was after the Civil War and Northern

identity was strong and stuff, so they were the Yanks because that fit into headlines more. So that's

kind of like a cool story, but you're right. The Tigers is just like the Tigers. Any animal is low

key lame. I'm not going to start off the episode this petty, but like the white socks and there's

another team in our division that has a name that's very similar. No, no, no, no, that's an awesome name.

Okay, so you're in on that. Like because back in the day, that also happened naturally. Oh,

who are we playing today? Oh, the white stockings. Those that team that wears the white stockings,

they're coming to town. Who? Like there was a team. There was a hockey team that we called Bumblebee.
