It has been an interesting couple of days. I had a video of mine

go a wee bit viral on Instagram. It's got like 1.4 million views last time I looked. And it's

about Pavlov's dogs because it's October, it's spooky month and so I decided to just go

full on horrible history,

like the bad stuff. And so people have been warned, I'm like, I'm doing it this month.

Same thing with the episodes this month on the podcast, they're all terrible. Terrible, horrible,

the true horrors of history.

And that is where we are at today.

So if you have a decent sense of morality, empathy, and you don't have a strong stomach,

you might want to set this one out because this is going to be discussing the abuse and mistreatment

of intellectually disabled children and adults.

So if you think that's going to be a bit much for you, just skip this episode or if you want to

give me the interaction, just like mute it and let it play. If whatever, whatever works for you,

your mental well-being and sanity and safety, they're important.

So if you need to skip this, you have absolutely my blessing. Don't worry about it.

Now, I wasn't expecting the video to do as well as it's doing because I've spoken about

this stuff before. Like anybody who's listened to me or watched me for like a long time, you'll know that my

background is, you know, the social sciences.

History, sociology, social geography and psychology, right?

That's my main sort of forte.

And so, like, ethics and misinformation, especially within the scientific community, I find very interesting.
