Hey, everybody. Welcome to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast. Today's going to be a little bit of a shorter episode. I have been behind the ball on some responsibilities. I have my hand and many things right now.

The work, life, family, hobby, balance has been a struggle in the last couple weeks.

I've been turkey hunting pretty hard. They've been giving me the runaround. I've had a couple opportunities that I mucked up, but I've been still pretty

hell-bent on trying to kill one here with a bow and arrow. It just hasn't worked out for me,

and I'm not done yet. My season's still

here for a couple weeks. I'll have limited opportunities to go, but man, how much fun. It's been a little

weird because it's so flooded in the particular area that I hunt for turkey and have hunted for turkey over the last 10 years or whatever

that I was pretty used to what the turkeys do every spring and that's how I played my cards.

I did set some cameras up and, you know, on time lapse to watch these fields and it kind

looked like the turkeys were doing the exact same thing, but man, when I got out there to hunt,

they were giving me the slip and I quickly identified that they were traveling in and out of the

woods in a place that was very far out of my shooting range.

So I opted to pull out the tree stand, and we're fortunate here in Michigan that we can,

so we can bow hunt turkeys from a tree stand.

We cannot gun hunt turkeys from a tree stand.

And I thought it would be a good way to get mobile on them.

So I went and got out there, set the tree stand up, and, you know, they went and walked right

by the location that I'd been sitting in the past couple times that they had avoided.

So I don't know, man.
